Today, i passed by Traffic Police (TP) test!

What: Pratical Driving Test

When: 3.45Pm, 30 April, 2010

Where: Comfort del gro Driving Centre
Who: Me, and Tester Benedict Ng Kin Chye

How: With a bit of luck, 18 points. Some mistakes i made had free count, so not counted in the total points. We all need some luck, and i had one with this tester. Tomorrow is Labour Day, means holiday for testers. I think alot of people in my batch passed today. Must be they good mood, knowing tmr's a holiday ;)

Today was make or break for me. Fail again, and i would have failed 4 attempts. Its embarrassing to tell people i failed thrice. 4 times? No way! By hook or by crook, its a necessity to pass today. Just thinking i have to waste more $$ and time in future to travel and learn these lessons, is such a daunting thought.

I felt confident today. Because, i'm definitely more prepared from my previous test, because i accumulated more experience. However, the thought of failure was unthinkable. I only thought of passing. I used to remember, when i failed, i only wish i could rewind back time. So sitting in the room, waiting for my name to be called, i told myself, that imagine i failed today, and i re-winded back time today. Now is the chance to seize it and not make stupid mistakes.

First hurdle to get out of my way, which is beyond my hands, which was not getting Poh Ah Soon as tester. Once you dont get him, your chances of passing got 50% higher. That fella, i dont need to say more should I? He failed me for my previous (3rd) attempt but i was pretty sure i deserved to pass. So when he called another student, i felt relieved, but pity a girl who will be tested by him.

I got a Tester named Benedict Ng. When i entered the car, he still can explain to me some instructions on what to do, and what means what. I tot, hoseh liao ah this fella so nice. All my previous instructor never do this, just go in. start engine, GO!

Then i did my circuit quite well. Then the nightmare began outside. I delayed moving off, stalled engine, moved off wrong gear. I tot die liao la. After test, i thought i failed but maybe have a slim chance of passing. Later, he asked me enter the room and take a seat, with him sitting opposite me. He said he wanna explain to me where i went wrong. That's it, failed. Then he takan me till quite jialat, and turn the paper around. I saw the PASS. I was overjoyed and totally shocked. " Huh i passed a?" and he said " I never said you fail, Please learn from your mistakes. Congrats"

I cannot describe the joy. It was overwhealming. It made me felt so free. Like i was captured in a cage and was finally released. I know its only a damn driving test, but it meant alot to pass because i've been looking forward to this day for the past 10 months. It was awesome. You should see my face. :D :D :D

Before i end the post, i want to say to any fella who is gonna undergo lessons for his or her license. Dont lose hope, and keep trying. Its only a matter of time and luck before you pass!

Who wouldn't be? I would be too if i were you. Betrayed and so inconsiderate. All these emotions will surely engulf each individual and everyone knows who they are. Sometimes, i feel better if i get scolded, shouted at. Because i should take a huge slice of the blame. I started the Dnd 2010, got everyone hopes high. Now, everything comes crashing down. Hopes dashed, an event you all look forward to, called off just like that.

When i heard about the jap trip, i was disappointed and annoyed too. Everything is set in place. Why? Initially my first reaction was to forget about the jap trip. Because dnd is already planned and everyone confirmed it. I could not understand why. But later than night, i gave them, a chance to explain, and give myself, a chance to listen. Finally, i know where they are coming from. Why are they so desperate. A opportunity like this, is hard let go by. If people have the time, or if certain circumstances were in their favor, they would be interested in a trip too.

So as far as the blaming game goes, please spread the blame evenly like peanut butter on bread. Everyone should get a slice of the cake and no single person should be targeted as the mastermind. I could have said no and gone ahead with things. But the initial 10 ppl plan would be wrecked already would it. Point taken, but no matter what, i could have gone ahead as planned. But as the organiser, i jumped ship. Therefore i have to accept, that from that point onwards, things would be different. Some friendships will never be the same again. Scars will be left, some beyond repair. But all in all, i do hope all the dust settles nicely. Yeah, its my wishful thinking. Its easy to say bygones be bygones.

But, there's a twist recently. I wont engage a cyber war because of that. You know what i'm talking about.

I only hope, things will become better with time.

My internship, has finally come to an end. Which leaves me free until i begin my National Service. Looking back at those 15 weeks, it was a pleasant experience working there, to experiencing how it is working in a office. My only complain is the traveling time with public transport, and you could say the location of my company too. Everyone made me feel very welcomed there and i could not ask for more. I'll miss some parts of my work, the fun, the people, but i certainly don't miss traveling to work there.

But now, reality sinks in. Its time to set some concrete targets and goals for the future. Right on top of the list, is my career. Now that i got time on my hands, i really got to think. No wild guesses and imagination, no buts or what ifs, but really, what will happen after army? One thing my internship taught me. No IT related work for me in future. I hate it. With my diploma in MWC, its kinda sad to see it go to waste if i do not make use of it. But i really don't want to study something i dread in my past 3 years in Temasek Poly in University. I'm unsure if i am able to go to one, which school and which course. I really got to think hard.

I had a great meal with my colleagues today. 2 of them were married fathers. They were talking about their kids, what its like to have kids, how much they mean to them and how important it is to study hard. Its an eye opener for me. Its these bits of stories and experiences i hear about, everyday, no matter how small, that will change the outlook and perspective of how our lives would be.

Lets call one of my colleague Lawrey. He was talking about how special having a daughter would be, because at the end of a tiring day, having his young daughter complimenting him on his new haircut can mean so much. He mentioned that, his son, or any son, will never do things like those, though small, that meant alot to them. He went on to explain that, as a father( like all fathers do) will never be successful, or attempt to understand the feelings of his son because as a young guy, he wants you to grow up and be strong, or something like that. i dont know how to put it =/

That's not to say that their sons are not loyal or adorable. Its just that, with daughters you get these feelings, with sons, you get something different. I'm not sure how to put it, but i certainly knew what they meant. Also, they talk about marriage, and how their wedding pictures being replace by their kids pictures on the bedside table.

Perhaps these children thing is still a little far off from me. But learning from their experiences, will certainly do us more good than harm yeah? I could tell, it was never easy to support a family, with financial worries the root of the problem. They advised me to pursue my degree. Just follow what your parents ask you to do and dont ask so many questions. Because they are always right. I do not have to repay them. I repay my parents by studying hard, and get a good job. If i done that, they have done their part and that's what they have worked for all these years to see. Now i wished i had studied harder in my secondary school days. But time is on our side, but not for long. But its never too late to start thinking and pursuing our dreams and make something for ourselves. Think hard people!

OMG ITS FRIDAY AGAIN

Its hard to believe its 14 weeks into my SIP. One more week and John Leong (My Attachment Officer) will start demanding a 1000 word report about my internship there. Well i think i can crap pretty well so the 1000 page report should be a breeze ;)

I dread waking up at 6.30am everyday. It feels like secondary school. Heck, most consistent period of working so early since the sec school days. I have to take the bus, beat the jam, squeeze with people, and endure bumpy and long bus rides all the way from Pasir Ris to River Valley. Why cant i work somewhere nearer? But its all going to be over soon!

The sun is barely up, time to get up!

I have a long list of things to do this coming Feb. CNY is coming, my room sure needs some packing, start planing a short getaway, some meet ups with old friends, lots of sleep, plenty of games, and plenty of reading. Its all about enjoying myself now, before i enlist into National Service.

Do you hate it when teachers add you on facebook or twitter. Or when your company colleagues and relatives or parents started adding you? It certainly limits what you should post and say on your profile. Its restrictive and i disliked it. Every time i post a comment, i must think about what i should not say or should say. Of course, you have to be sensitive to the community and people with the choice of words you write, but this family/teacher thing is another filter your status and commends have to pass through. Its like, its not me anymore. Its not how i feel or what i want to say. But i chose to respond differently due to their ability to see what i write.

Having said that, actually its not such a big deal to me! Its not like i was drunk and had my pictures posted on facebook, or i swear #@$$% freely in public..

Life has been pretty decent in the opening weeks of 2010 for me. I don't have major worries which is all i can ask for. Because being young is all about being stress free. Its unimaginable what kind of worries and stress awaits us out there in future. I wouldn't say i am very happy now but neither am i upset.

But if theres one thing i always yearn for, that thing is companionship. Who would not like to share their lives with someone? Friendship with friends are special and i do not deny that. But companionship is a totally different thing, more special definitely. Only then, would my life be in bliss because deep down inside, it always feels half empty rather than half filled.

My days of freedom i meant. Its certainly no good knowing when is your enlistment. I just received the letter yesterday, and to my horror, it read Enlist on 12 Apr 2010 945am Mon!

My heart sank. Not because i didn't expect to go army. Of course i know. Its the timing really. I was expecting June earliest and I was so sure of it. All my friends, did not have the letter. So its like a lonely trip if you get what i mean. All because of my PES C status due to my flat footed ness. Yeah, everyone has to come to this point one way or another, but then being the first among my circle of friends, and alone, doesn't help. It did made me think if i planned my HK trip later than 12 april i'm screwed. Now i have to go graduation botak while others have their hair. No fair at all!

I've got some plans before my enlistment. Gonna try and squeeze gatherings and meetings from now till 12 April!

Alright next topic. Earphones!

I use to own a pair of sonic gear earphones and it costs me 29.90. After 4 months, i spoiled it and lost it thereafter. So i bought new Sonic Gear EarPump Earphones, costing a cool $49.90. Hoping a more expensive earphones would last me longer and give me better quality music. If you love music, time to ditch those lousy earphones that came with your ipod or iphone. You can tell the difference once u tried a pair of paid earphones.

Less than 3 months, it spoilt.

The picture below, u can see the wiring exposed. The silver and brown thing wasnt fixed tightened enough.

This was a lesson learned. Sonic Gear earphones are officially not lasting. Sure, in terms of quality and value for money, its good. But in terms of worthy investment, SonicGear is terrible. Its not like i never took care of it. I kept it in a pouch all the time when not in use. Its so frustrating i was very upset at one point. Its pretty expensive at 49.90.Trust me, you do not want to get earphones from sonic gear via challenger. Their speakers are good though, which i am currently using for my desktop ;) Their earphones? Forget it!

I went to Jaben Networks, a shop who specialist in selling earphones with a wide variety. Its located at The Aldephi (opposite Funan IT Mall).

This was featured on Digital Life newspaper. How could i have missed this article? Darn

To keep my grandma story short, if you want to buy earphones, head to Jaben. I found this shop from the forums. People was praising the service, the free gifts and sampling of earphones. When i entered there, they gave me many earphones to sample. I wanted a pair of earphones with good bass, so listening to music like BOOM BOOM POW really gets me in a dancing mood. So they gave me 3 earphones which specialise in bass for me to sample.

You dont get to sample all kinds of earphones anywhere else, but here, you can sample everything you want. And there is a earphone for every price. I was thinking of getting a pair of earphones at 300 + but they gave me a $78 one which i felt it was perfect. You see, they dont encourage you to buy the 500 dollar ones. You see what you like, then u check the price. If its too high, you can request for something lower. Most shops will psycho u 500 dollar earphones, here? not a chance. There was no pressure or anything. I had all the time in the world to sample the 7 earphones i was given. Including $365+ Ultimate Ears earphones.

It is important to sample how the music feels in your earphones, because you are investing alot of money into. Worst, some earphone cuttings don't fit well with certain people's ears. Thanks to the sampling, i did not purchased the UE 365 one. Totally misfit my ears xD

I finally settled on a pair of audio-technica earphones ( never heard of it though but i liked it)

They gave me a free amplifyer worth 20 dollars. It boost my music quality but it does require one small battery.

I hope this would be a good investment that would last me for quite a while. One thing's for sure, no more sonic gear earphones for me. There's only one place to go if you want to shop for earphones. Their service is top notch. They are extreamly friendly and you can stay there for two hours just talking to them. Serious!

Your dream job?

There comes a time, where we proposed tihs question to ourselves. What do you want to work as in future? Since our primary school days, teachers have been harping into our ears, parents alike, with the same question "What is your ambition?" & "Work towards it"

To be frank, i never gave it a hard though until my poly days. Back then i was just "go with the flow" attutude, tagging along where my path takes me. It only hit me hard, when i entered IT in Temasek Poly. Having experienced my internship, i felt that the biggest thing i took away there, was i found myself. I mean, i found what i disliked. No IT for me! It makes me feel sluggish to be behind a computer from 9am to 6pm daily.

As for what i like, there isn't any fixed thoughts. I do like providing service, face to face interactions sort of job. I do have a few options, as you all might have.

1) Work right after Diploma/NS

2) Further studies, aboard or locally

3) Slack at home!

Alright i'm kidding about option 3. Unless u get a hefty pay cheque doing that! Some friends of mine are going University. Well that seems like the right way to go, i asked myself sometimes if i should go University too. Is it because everyone is going U, and if I dont go, i feel like i'm lagging behind? I go for the sake of prolonging my freedom and delaying the pains of working life? I dont wanna work yet because i like being a student?

The list goes on. The concequences isn't forgiving if the wrong move is made. Wrong moves such as selecting the wrong university, dont feel like studying but forced to, or wrong course.

Lots of time which you can never bring back, money which land you in debt and so on. I have 2 years to think. Sorry ladies, you haven't got much time to think unlike us guys. Think fast! haha

I believe not many people would want to stay in a job they dislike for many years. I think there is a point where, you will go " Hey, i had enough. Time to follow my ambitions" I know its not easy, but if you dont pursue it, you never will.

I do harbor dreams of being an Air Steward with SIA. Whats not good about it? Travel, enjoy, meet people, great friends, get paid, service with a smile. Sounds pretty good to me. Do you think i make a good addition to the cabin crew??? xD

But of course, I cant remain in that job forever. Thats when the furniture business comes in? hmmmm

I didn't expect the after effects to be so bad. Will have second thoughts going in future but i sure did have a great time. Its an unhealthy lifestyle though, going against my healthy routine. Once in a while is fine i guess. At least all my curiosity got answered.

It is about choice, and, its always better to be friends than foes right?

So why not, we talk it out, settle the dust?

Hello friends. I'm glad to announce that i have endured quite a difficult period, and i'm getting close to putting it all behind me altogether. As they always say. Put those negative experiences deep into your memory, hidden behind the happier times. But once in a while, do dig out the past and reflect on what went wrong. Time heals many things. But some tiny bits take longer.No doubt, i come out of this, stronger, wiser and more determined. I always remind myself not to be made used of, knowingly or unknowingly. Because they weren't worth it.

Time really flies if you put your mind on something else. It will be week 10 of my SIP pretty soon. It sure helps to have holidays like Christmas and New Year, thus extending weekends to longer ones. Somehow, SIP isn't that bad. Especially when you get to slack!

I have alot of things on my mind, but i'm kind tired to pen all my thoughts down. Somethings are better left unsaid over here. Before i end, I'll take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Xmas and a Bright New Year ahead. Onward to 2010!

Farewell my friend

I lost a dear friend today. More than just a friend. Someone i care about and think about and loved. But its a shame things have to end this way.

Many people have no idea what happened, but i'm happy to share with those interested to know. Just drop me a text, and i'm delighted to fill you in. I do not want to bottle up my feelings, and slam my fist against the wall to release the pain. It was silly of me to face the hard times alone. I realise i still got frens and bros who are dear to me. I should share it with them, because life's journey is not a lonely one.

Sometimes love is so blind. You blind yourself from the flaws of the person, no matter how much pain you feel, and go all the way, because you love that someone so deeply.

I knew i would get hurt more badly than before despite knowing the truth, because i strongly believed i could change what you think about me. But i was wrong.

I'm willing to get hurt, because i wanted to try. I do not want to live with regrets. Having said that, a line must be drawn. Enough is enough. It isn't going anywhere. Perhaps i learned it today. But at least i move on, and don't get stuck at a road block.

One can sacrifice so much for her, being by her side every time she shares her troubles with you. I refuse to believe the truth. Because my determination was so strong. Nothing was impossible. The day she accepts me was my biggest motivation.

But today, i realize, love is a complicated thing. It isn't as simple as being there for the person, day and night. It does not always come off successful. I have images of our future together. But it all came crashing down. Healing takes time, months, not days. Its heartbreaking when your feelings are being used, because i gave it my all, my time, and my heart, with sincerity. I do wonder why i was not given a chance, but I will know why, given time.

Having said that, loving someone is not a crime. Its a commitment, two way thing. i struggle to understand why you are in denial, and fear to face the truth. Its dangerous to be clinging on to something that is of a distant memory. Plans to bake a cake for birthday, it was so sweet. Despite how you got treated. I was touched how much you would do for someone you love. But i feel sorry too because you are never cherished.

I do not meant to offend you. If i did then i sincerely apologise. But I think i should let everything out here. Its the best place. I had never felt so fragile and helpless in my entire life. I feel angry that i have failed. However, I don't believe in insulting and cursing and swearing.

Life's a lesson. Only people who learn from it will move on to another stage in one's life, and not linger in the darkness for years. The biggest lesson i learned, was never allow myself to be used, accepting the reality wholehearted, and forgive oneself for the faults we made. Life goes on, and i know i got bigger things than this.

Yes i'm in agony. Hopefully its a short one. After all i have said above, it doesnt mean i think that way now. i need time to come to terms with it. I'm sorry i failed as a friend. But i have no regrets because i fight for what i believed in. However, its a good thing that my life no longer revolves around the person who feels nothing for me. You did the right thing, as much as u break my heart. Breaking off all contact, but it was the right move. I suggest you no longer give other guys u meet in future the wrong impression, because u cant tell a Normal friend from a Caring one. You can do that to your girlfriends but not on a guy. Goodbye.

Been burning a big hole in the pockets of my parents recently. I do feel like i'm such an expensive son to maintain to my parents. Especially buying branded clothes and accessories. Sometimes i dread shopping when you don't have the mood. However, after you buy something you really like, it really makes you excited to own them ;)

Also, i went for a facial today. Before you start calling me a girl, its a known fact that guys have more oily skin than girls. Who say guys cant spent $$ to make their skin look better?! I have a history of pimples. Time for me to say no to fried food. I wanna look younger than i actually am in future.

Sooner or later you will begin to take care of your image more. Like teeth whitening and anti aging treatments! Trust me you will. I don't believe people will so bo chap about how they look/dress.

Its strange how my interest in games have dropped dramatically for the past month. Very strange! Maybe its only temporary. New games like MW2, L4D2, Dragon age Origins and Boarderlands are out and i don't feel tempted.

Its been halfway thru my attachment, with 8 weeks left to go. Its difficult fitting in gyming into my schedule after work, not to mention cabbing to school for it. Doesn't help that the gym closes early at 8pm. Sometimes i question myself if its worth it. And after exercising, the answer is always YES!

I thought things would be fine. I said they already were, because time would heal everything rite? Its frustrating to always feel this way again and again. Perhaps i will never see why somethings are like that. Some things are just blind.

Holidays are coming in less than 2 months. Gotta start planning. Good night.

Perhaps something are just not meant to be. The faster i accept it, the quicker i will move on. That is certainly the case now. One day, i'll find the right girl for me. But i'll leave that to fate. I'm just glad i got it behind me, and thankful our friendship remains. But at line has to be drawn, and not be crossed. I don't want to be hurt again. Its time to look forward.

i'm just counting down to the end of my SIP. Just 10 weeks away. Can't believe i actually hoped for 25 weeks. I have so many things to do, but such little time. Weekends just tick away in a blink of an eye.

Right now, i'm determined to finalize the HONG KONG TRIP. NEXT MARCH.

I love the feeling or going to the airport. The Departure Hall. Knowing you are going on a holiday, break free, get away, enjoy your ass off without a single thing to worry about.

There are obstacles to this trip. The booking, the people, the end of our course of study, the hotels and tickets. But it will turn out right. Just hope its in march, worst case, we go in april. I want the cold weather so i'll be pushing for march!

I tell you where i was during the last weekends. I caught Man Utd VS Stoke on sat night and on sun night i went outside to eat. Turn on the tv to watch F1? not a chance for me. Last year

Singapore host the first ever F1 Night Race. So naturally i tried to get myself interested lah.Maybe i will like it after watching more. But this year, to heck with it. I hate it and i am not excited about it. I'm glad its over, no more hype in the papers and news. phew

WORK WORK

Earlier today on monday, i went to work. No, not SIP, literally but help out with my dad at his office. It was a real eye opener, as i was there to see for myself, just how busy he was. His phone never stops vibrating, and his calls keep coming. He drives from place to place, in lightning quick pace. Hey my lines rhyme with one another!

At 55 years of age, my dad sure shows alot of energy. My parents hope i can take over the reins one day. What my dad does is selling furniture to customers. So lets say a customer wants to renovate a particular room, a church, a shopping mall shop, he does that. We mainly deal with wood, so the tables u use at IT School Level 1 at Temasek Poly are actually from my dad's work place just to name an example. lol

In a space of 4 hours today on the run i learned alot, but there's certainly alot more to learn. Certainly it isnt as easy as it looks. But hey this beats seating behind the com from 9am to 6pm daily. They say ppl working behind the com all day, will have bellys!

Still have no job posted to me yet for my attatchment. I just hope it would be a good experience, and less work, high pay!

I'm just making my holidays more useful. Get a job outside and work for extra allowance? but my attachment starts anytime to 2 weeks later so obviously i can't.

Another rare blogpost has finally arrived. Here are some thoughts which i want to pen down.

1. A new machine

Using my desktop computer has always been a pain. Its slow, takes 5 mins to boot up, laggy, and there's nothing more annoying than that. So with $900 and my fren sham, we assembled a DIY desktop computer. Many thanks to him as without him, it would not be possible. Not many people are such knowledgable about computer parts, ATI and graphics card, processor all those stuff. Gaming/multitasking and alternate tabbing has never been so smooth =)

2) Tham's Birthday Celebration

A pity not all our classmates can attend this, but we sure had fun at Kallang Leisure Park, followed by steamboat later. Its my first time ice skating, and due to a little background in roller blading, i was swiftly gliding accross the ice in no time. =p Seeing your classmates, struggle for balance, and making dramatic falls, that made my day alone. HAHA hope you had fun birthday girl.

3. Major Project Progress

I should be lying on my bed, watching all the movies and Tv series which i was deprived off by now. But my major project needs improvement after 10 weeks, thus extended by 2 additional weeks. Well its my last project in TP, so i'm gonna give it all i've got. I have Qm and matthew as my grp mates, and i'm glad i have them. As for the final presentation last week, i officially see Dr Yap in a different light. Hope he scratch his head till he botak!

4) A New Phone

Sinktel has terrible customer service if you ask me. It took months of monitoring forums, sending emails of compliants, before i got my iphone. As you can see, Iphone 3GS is not avaliable for walk in purchases. So you have to reserve you phone online, but i did not receive any notification to purchase, which made me frustrated as i have waited for this for a long time. But i shall not go into detail.

I was feeling fairly confident, hopeful that i could pass my Practical Test in the first attempt. No surprise it wasn't meant to be this morning . =( I hit the kerb, about a couple of times. I knew I was goner by then. It's bad, and it is disappointing, which sums up the mood for the rest of the day. On the way to school, even the skies turn gloomy and dark. Major Project is such a miserable 10 weeks.

But at least i know how it works now. Failures like this will only make me more determinted to do well in the next test, and stop wasting more $$$ on this crap. Can't wait for my next test, but i really don't know how long will I have to wait. Yet to book a test date. So many people taking test, i'll be lucky to get a date in early October. Hopefully it will be somewhere in September

( fat hope). But i'm looking forward to it, to get it done and over with. And start driving on the roads!

I waited a long time for the film. And man it was worth the wait. I caught the film two times already. A part of me wants to watch it for the third time again. yup i'm that crazy, you can confirm it. I hope Revenge of the Fallen does well, then hopefully, transformers 3! Having went to www.rottentomatoes.com, and reading newspaper reviews, i cant believe how badly this film fared in their eyes. Contrary to the movie critics who have been critising the film, you can kiss me ass because it was excellent. Who gives a ratass about plot when i come to see robots do battle.

Major project is starting. I have received mixed views from different people. Some say its the most stressful period of your poly life. While some say, it can be quite slack, if you chiong 2 days, the rest of the week you can slack. Well having good group members help, i think it depends on the course you are in too hmm? I hope it comes and goes quickly, cos reports are a pain.

Finally, my napfa test is tomorrow.. Friday. at 3pm. Confident of getting a silver. If i can avoid 2 months in NS, i will. Hope 2.4 is the last station. Because once i run that, i'm finished. Hope to get chin ups first.

Terminator was some well deserved break after a hectic week.
Cannot wait for more movies in cinemas. My movie supply has dried up too if u know what i'm hinting at.

Oh yeah, last weekend, i had fish and chips for lunch and dinner. One at Astons, one at Manhattan Fish Market! Man i'm sick of fish for now! So, on sat night, i was out with family, to MANHATTAN FISH MARKET, at White Sands. Swensens closed down, and Manhattan took its place. The other time i had MFM, was with ken and jo, so i was eager to try it again.

So , my parents ordered some Lobster dish, as in was on promotion for a buy one get one free deal.It was served with rice chips and something else i cant rmb. GUESs WHAT. When we were served, One lobster, was full of meat, while the other, quite laughable really, has NO MEAT ON IT. Yup just the shell. you dont expect us to eat the shell would you? haha

then my dad goes " ask ur manager come here!" and they agreed to replace our order.
Doesn't end there, After waiting for 15 mins, a lobster came. Now, my dad called the manager back and ask him to replace the order. Why? This one has meat, but its RAW..

Woot its week 7. My desktop broke down on sunday. Such bad timing. Hopefully getting replaced with a DIY CPU somewhere this weekend. Fingers crossed. Transformers 2 isn't far. Call me crazy, mad, addicted, I dont care, this is the movie to watch this 2009.

Week 6 is upon us all. and i cannot wait for it to end. Just 2 more weeks to go. I really need that 2 weeks break. Its a good feeling to know there are no more subjects left after this semester. however, the thought of SIP and MP is all doom and gloom. But, doing it the easy way or the hard way, i'll manage it like i always do. Being optimistic is best. Despite not catching the first 3 films on DVD or in theatres, nonetheless i caught the latest film in the franchise, Fast and Furious 4! Sry kenvin =s

I havent reach the age where i'm crazy about cars. But yeah walking along the roads i do keep a lookout for different models and sport cars. Ask me about price, parts and i know nuts about them. LOL so i tot why not catch cool fast sports cars in action?? I caught it with shortest bean, yujian and benjamin at the Grand Cathay. People say Grand Cathay has the best sound system of all cathay cimenas in singapore. I'm kind caught in a catch 22 situation. Should i watch transformers 2 in GV MAX with super wide screen? Or normal screen but with crisp clear cool sound effects? Call me crazy, but Transformers is the most anticipated film for me this year. Can you blame mee????? hahah Think i'll watch it at both cinemas. ^^

After the flim and having dinner at Plaza Sing, we parted ways and went home. But before going home, it would not be cool not to check out new shopping mall TAMINPES 1. I went exploring with benjamin.

Seriously, i think they should named the mall something else. Like Illuma in bugis. At least it sounds original. Tampines 1 -.-. But names aside, it doesnt matter much. It's whats inside that matters. I think i dont need to go Vivo or Orchard so often already. TOPMAN is here! With 3 malls now in Tampines, it only gets more convinient. I would wanna check out Japanese store Uniqlo. I went around the place to explore. And it was much bigger than expected. for UNIQLO, u need to queue up to enter the shop. Crazy right? so i didn't enter. No rush. See many familar stores like Challeger( thank god tampines have a challenger at last) Sports Link, New Balance. Times etc etc. But its the lesser known shops that i would wanna check out. Cool yeah? School is starting sooon. No more late nights, no more waking up late. dammit =( till then., its all for now

So i shall start with Cruise. This is my second time to cruise this year. This time, it was definitely more fun. Because the other time the ship was cruising to nowhere, except going circles and u turns. This time, it stops at penang, then on phuket. Here goesssss

Here's a closer look at the cabins. It does not have a window unlike the other time at cruise. Kind of scary. We sleep at 3am. When we wake up, we dont know if it is day or night, unless we check our phones/watches. Later ship floor we also dunno.

There's a games section on the ship. Where we can rent games for free for 2 hours and play them. There are quite a wide variety to choose from. My only complain is sometimes we rent games, go to the games room, the first thing which greeted us was a bunch of aunties playing majong. Noisy sia!
We toyed with a wheel chair which is placed stationary at the side of one corridor of cabins. LOL

This is the boat departing from the boat and heading to the docks of penang.

We didn't go much in Penang. It sure was burning hot there. I tot come out of airpot only will u be greated by taxi touts. Come of ship here also have! We shop abit, and eat the famous char kway tiao. We spent about 6 hours there. Basically that was it. We headed back to the boat by 5.30pm

We decided to try Western breakfast for Monday morning. And wow that was the tastiest breakfast of the 4 days there! Eggs EGgs EGGS!

Paintball here is pretty expensive. But its not everyday u have an experience like this. hahaha We spent about 65 SGD there with 100 bullets. Sometimes i dont really enjoy paintball cos i suck at it. I'm quite an easy target. Also, im the longest and tallest, so easily targetted -.-

Go Kart was extreamly fun. You dont get much faster Go Karts than 260 CC!

The end. It was quite fun overall. It doesn't really make up for the disappointment for missing out on going for a overseas trip like the bangkok trip last year. Seeing Mic ken cass ash come back from Taiwan, i'm filled with envy and jealousy! i'll be lying if i said there wasnt any of those. Just fueled my desire to go for an overseas trip this june. but its gonna get very complicated to organise a trip again..I think we should go overseas as a class once year 3 ends. Must enjoy before going NS! You hear that C176?!

This blog has been dead for the past 2 weeks. Time for some updates!

IT show, was held at 12th to 15th March at Suntec. During working, negative thoughts creep into my mind, such as why did i even bother coming to work at this lowly paid job. But looking back, i'm sure glad i went. It is great to meet new friends! My record over 4 days is 1-6-1-6. Nice numbers for 4D hor! Total units sold is 14, exactly the same as the IT show i worked at last year. Payday is nearing, at the 7th next month.

Recently, i had my first practical lesson at Comfort Del Gro Driving Centre. I was pleasantly surprised that i was at the wheel for about 45 mins turning and driving straight right at the very first lesson! It sure was fun, abit scary to be honest. It is 25 bucks per lesson. So every lesson is important to get the right habbits and instructions by the driving teacher into my head. The car i drove in was a Mitsubishi. I tot it would be a Toyato Vios!

Learning driving is something every guy has to take at somepoint of your lifetime. It is good to clear it as early as possible. Thats my opinion. So guys out there, havent start, go learn lah!

Alright i am off to CRUISE again on Sun to Wed. Many people have told me how they envy the fact that i am able to go on such a trip, for free. So Yujian, thanx again. Maybe the Hong Kong trip will happen after all. We have been handled a lifeline. Fingers crossed!

Well well well been quite a while since this blog has been refurbished. I think it needs some rejuvenation! I should be switching to a new blogskin when i'm not too lazy.

Alright, stretching back to 27 Feb 2009, that day i took my Final Theory Test. I thought I would breeze through the test having studied hard during a chalet with my sec sch buddies.

Alas it seems like it wasn't enough. Next Test on April 2nd. No, i dont think i played too much Soul Calibur and neglected studying.

On the other side of the coin, i had a blast on the eve of the day i turned 19.

The rest are on Facebook. Also, i have to take time out to thank my secondary friends to celebrated with me. To tell you the truth, i never really celebrated my past 18 birthdays. Its just like any other day of my life. They were never special, dull, uneventful, kinda sad really. It was different this year and thank you guys and gals =D. Thanks for the bag, you'll see alot of it when next sem starts.

Now that it is over, it is kind of a relief really. Now with the holidays here, it gets boring staying at home all day. So i sent a few resumes here and there, went for recruitment at suntec city and results weren't that good. One things for sure, i'm selling MacBooks at this coming IT show! I had a great experience at the previous IT show last Aug, but really, we were employed as cheap labour. But you get the idea. Hard times now, any job just comes by and you just grab it with both hands.

After this IT show, I will be jobless again. It just makes me sick that the Hong Kong trip isn't going to happen this April. Kenvin, Michael and Ashley are going to HK while we are going nowhere! I bet i will feel worse on the day they fly. Been trying very hard to get 2nd girl to complete our 6some. Don't get the wrong idea =), another girl ( no prizes for guessing who!) is accompanying us but she needs a girl to follow cos girls can't slp with guys.

But when it comes to asking secondary sch friends, its either we never talk for too long that we are like strangers now, or its unreliastic as they have attatchment or no $$. Not everyone is comfortable with the idea of following 4 strangers and someone whom u have no contact with for so long. Without both would left us 4, doesn't sound very fun tho =x.

At least there's CRUISE to look forward to. Thank you Yujian for the free cabins. Absolutely awesome!

Finally! Holidays are back again. Today i had my last presentation of this semester. Been looking forward to this day for a long time. This sem sure has its ups and downs, it wasn't always fun, but it was certainly memorable. Year 3 is upon us all pretty soon. .

Anyway, i've been quite crazy with cars recently. Walking along the carpark, anywhere and everywhere, i start looking at car brands and their logos. And get pretty frustrated when i dunno what brand a damn car is. I saw many Audi R8s recently, and they are such beautiful machines. I will be having my FTT next week, and hopefully a step closer to getting my license. I'm pretty lazy to start my practical lessons tho.

With holidays, its movies galore, games galore and its been quite a while since i hit town. Also, my schedule isn't so packed, i can finally hit the gym more often and visit the pool. Been deprived of sun tanning for weeks. SUN tanning not sun light. stop calling me a tree/ plant who need sunlight to grow! hahaha bean still okay lol

I Am looking forward to the next 2 months. Gonna work a little bit (IT show?), and pray for HK vacation to materialize! And some chalets with my sec/poly friends. That's it folks =D

Greetings everyone. CNY might be 2 weeks ago, but its not stopping me from posting some pictures taken in the year of the OX. Overall, this New Year feels pretty quiet and quick to me somehow. Nonetheless, I have enjoyed myself tremendously especially with the reunion dinner with my family and relatives. Also, i love to snack on the love letters and all those stuff which comes out only during the New Year. i have also collected quite a whopping amount of ang pows! Alright, getting to the pictures.

I'm proud to announce that i have passed my Basic Theory Test of Driving in the first attempt! But wait, I'm not getting carried away, its just BBT, but it sure was a relief to clear it one shot =D

Next month, will see me taking the Final theory. And surely one shot it =D. Well done to Yj and tham who were in the same room with me, and of cos the passed too and will take the Final Theory with me. The E-trial test, i took 2 test. and failed both! 0_O! heng ah heng.

Last Wed, i hit the gym with Javius for the first time in 18.5 years. In the gym, i did about 5 types of training, and i pushed myself harder than i thought i would.It seems i went overboard.. A 3 days on, as of now this sat night, i'm feeling muscle aches on my arms. Its normal, but 3 days already? i cant even bent my arms at the elbows. They are always bent 90 degrees. Lols if i go out, i would walk pretty funnily. Scrubbing my hair with shampoo and changing my shirt is quite a trouble for me now. But i'm seeing the effects, and dont worry Javius, i would relish a visit to the gym still, but my muscles need heal first >.<

Inevitably, the last thing i'm gonna talk about is Chinese New Year. Ang paos ang paos and more ang paos. Actually i don't think it all that way, not like all of u guys and girls! ;) i don't get to spend my ang paos anyway. But CNY is great for family bonding. So far, its hard to be in a upbeat mood, when my SRS 50 page long report is nowhere near getting started. I'm in charge of 20 pages, and it has to be almost done by wed. In addition, there is a test on wed, and another project submission on Fri. What rotten luck for this CNY. Just have to grit our teeth, and get on with it.

Things are beginning to shape up for the Hong Kong Trip scheduled in March. Traveling with friends is such pure fun. I hope the trip materialises soon. Speaking of trips, i'm on Cruise with Yujian and Jav next sat. A much needed breather from all the project submissions. Till then, Happy New Year my readers, and may the new year bring OX-liciousness to all of you! =)

Very belated Happy New Year to my blog readers! As you know, I'm getting lazier with each new year, thus explaining why the new year post is posted only today, Jan the 6. I had a great time this countdown. In the past 17 years, celebrating New Year is just counting down on tv with Gurmit Singh. Or just like any normal day. So this year I went out and celebrate. Ladies and Gentlemen, Chinese New Year is upon us once again. Which means. Lots of tibits and food, many many ang paos to collect and new clothes to wear! Speaking of clothes, I'm almost done with my shopping. I bet all of you are just getting started. I should be hunting for more stuff with my classmates and old sec sch friends over the next 2 weeks.

New year. New term. school is as dull as ever. In less then 14 months, Poly life will draw to a close. Glad SSSD Re-Presentation is out of the way. =D.

What happens if you add Microsoft Technology with Razer Technology? Behold, the Microsoft Razer Reclusa Keyboard. This is a christmas present to myself. At 50% off its usual price to 59.90 at Challenger exclusively only for members, this offer was too good to turn down. So off i went to buy it. Keyboards are often overlooked whenever someone upgrades or purchase a new computer. Its quite easy to understand right. Its just a keyboard! But, if you spent good money on a good keyboard, you could tell the difference. What you pay is what you get. But in this case, i only paid 50% off the actual price! Looking good at my desktop table below HAHA

Merry Christmas everyone! On the eve of christmas, i went to catch Ip Man. First off, its not pronouced as IP man. "Eep Mun " is the correct way to spell it in Chinese terms. Ip Man reminds us alot about the movie in 2006 "Fearless" aka 霍元甲 starring Jet Li.

In Ip Man aka" 葉問 " , Donnie Yen stars at Bruce Lee's not so famous master.

This film is a life journey of Ip Man. Having enjoyed Fearless, i was

anticipating a similar movie. But WOW this movie just dwarfs

Fearless. If you enjoyed Fearless, Martial Arts films or action films,

this one takes the cake. Highlight of the movie? It has got to be

Donnie Yen unleashing a astonishing speed of punches known as

"FIST OF FURRY". With incredible fighting scenes, Yen's charisma

and arresting storyline, it is definitely one of the top 5 films i have

seen this year. Do catch it ;)

Sometimes life has a habit of kicking you in the teeth when you least expected it. I found out on fri that i have to represent my SSSD (server Slide Software Development) again. Sigh just when you thought you are done with something it comes back to haunt you. I'm feeling the burden for sure =(. But I think i'll live. On another note, I booked my BTT today at CDC. Greetings people! This is a post long overdue. A week has gone by since Genting. I better pen down my thoughts down before the trip becomes a distant memory. Going to Genting was a eye opener, because it has been more than a decade since i was there.

The five hour bus trip to our destination was, well boring. Doesn't help when i'm sitting alone. Ipod earphones plugged into my ears, i drifted to sleep within a mere 30 mins aboard. When we reached Genting, just feeling the cool air outside the moment i stepped out of the bus, I can't help but feel excited. Its nice to get a cooler temperature, a far cry from the scorching hot climate we got accustomed to in Singapore.

Some of the many facilities of the Theme Park. We didn't make most of our time there unfortunately. There were lots of kids, and many malaysian girls dressed like japanese girls. If S'pore was cold it would be interesting. Also, most of the staff working at the theme park are unfriendly and cant be bothered attitude. Service is KanaSai. But the rides were phenomenal, such as the flying coaster.

We had supper at the coffee shop just few metres from where we are in the pictures above. It was probably one of the cheapest foods you'll find in Genting. The food wasn't bad tho ( Hor Fun)

jab jab tab tab. Javius and Yujian are awoken by the sounds of my PSP the following morning. I swear they snoozed like pigs thorough the night HaHAha. I could not sleep after i awoke at 9 in the morning. So i started playing my psp, but it was a living hell for the other two. It wasn't until 1 when we went for lunch.

The buffet was awesome, being normal typical Singaporeans like us, lunch is never complete without trying all the stalls. Full also still eat since its pay once eat as many as you desire. Probably the most satisfying meal in the trip. =D

In Singapore, you have 10 movies to choose from at most cinemas. At Genting, surprisingly 3 only. High School Musical, Coffin and Quantum of Solace. The timings were limited , like at 2pm then 7.40 pm. The closest time slot was HSM3. So we watched that. The movie was 2 hours, but i was bored to tears after 1 hour, hahaha no offense to HSM fans. Not my cup of tea perhaps, its the kind of movie u cant wait for it to end.

Apparently i'm the only one who sink my feet into the 'pond' with bigger fishes. The other three went into the 'smaller' ones. Garang pls

We went to this werewolf house. No kick leh, we mostly scared ourselves rather than they scared us. Besides, only 2 people were inside scaring us in our 15 min walk inside.

We went to a pub, to catch the big soccer match involving my beloved team Man Utd vs Arsenal. Wherever i am, i will do anything not to miss a soccer match!

The mood was excellent, albeit the score line which reads, Arsenal 2-1 Manchester United =(

We end the night with many rounds of remy. I tried playing remy for the first time.

But my luck ran out and never won after like 10 rounds. dammit.

With monday being a holiday (Deepavali), i have a 4 day holiday because i have no school on Friday. Don't you love 4 day weeks? It's less stressful, easier, and relaxed. That's the best part about my new timetable. Anyway i was given a huge shock last night. I saw my dog (Dobie) bleeding quite heavily on her right eye. She has a history of eye problems in her right eye. Being a Shih Tzu breed, they are prone to eye infections. At 3am in the morning, it was quite a chaotic situation. I immediately went to search for 24 hour pet hospitals in Singapore. I found one and i called a hospital who says consultation fee will be a jaw dropping 300 bucks alone. Because it was a public holiday, it was expensive, but its still a crazy price considering that surgery fees are not included.

We decided to wait till the morning and bring it to the vet the moment their clinic opens. I felt very helpless. My dog who does not seem to be in serious pain, but surely a little uneasy, was there still bleeding and I could not do anything. Except clean the wounds, and give her water when necessary. It made me realised that I should treasure her even more. My biggest fear was they might be forced to put her to sleep, permanently of course, as certain illness and injuries cannot be cured. Thankfully the situation was not as grave as it seems. My mom will be bringing her to the vet who treated Dobie previously 6 months ago today, as their clinic was closed on public holidays. The hospital we went today did nothing except clean wounds and give pills. I hope she will be fine.

Having watched Tropic Thunder last night, it gets my vote as comedy of the year. =D awesome.

Yesterday we have a very belated birthday celebration. To be exact, 5 days late. Better late thannever. It was ment as a surprise. So all of us except the birthday boy Shu Jun of course, head to swensens to buy a cake. It was expensive, but man it sure is tasty!

We caught Max Payne At Plaza Sing later in the afternoon. To be honest, watching this movie is a 'pain'. Its plot is complicated in a bad way, and the signature slow motion scenes which the video game is famous for failed to lift the show. A major disappointment, I suggest to interested viewers to give this movie a miss.

Holidays are reaching its closing stages. Its something i will miss, because of the nights you get to sleep late, and the amount of freedom there is. But too much of it can make life pretty boring. Anyway, today is the first time i went to Jurong East Swimming Complex. It has a few facilities like Wild Wild Wet, but nothing compared to that. Ticket price is $1.50 so getting about 25% of wild wild wet's facilities for that price is value for money. It was sheer good fun if you go there with a bunch of friends. Dark clouds were looming in the skies upon our arrival, threatening to spoil our day. We hope it would not rain, but it wasn't meant to me. Upon an hour there , drizzle turn to heavy showers. We seek shelter and had a bite, hopeful but not optimistic on whether the rain will stop any time soon. From Pasir Ris to Jurong, I came a long way, and I'm determined to make the most out of my time there. Lol. Most of us got changed, since the rain doesn't look like it is going to stop. Not me , Joel and Elaine tham. We were rewarded with our patience and whet back in after an hour of waiting. The flip side is we already returned the floats, which is needed for the slides and certain other facilities.

The day ended at Bugis, catching the gala premier of 'The Butterfly Lovers'. Thanks to Kenvin, i had the luxury of catching the gala premier of some chinese films. Connected, Painted Skin, to name a few. I admit, i didn't know who is Wu Chun till now. Hahaha.

It’s been an uneventful period this holidays. My days are mostly spent enclosed in the four walls of my home. I have been watching Prison Break lately, and that helps kill time. It’s such a engaging tv series which makes you wanna watch the next episode. It doesn’t get any better watching your favourite Tv shows for free online in high defination =). Anyway, i went to orchard with my mates to catch ‘Eagle Eye’. I always see ratings of movies before catching the movie itself. I have learned one thing. In most casest movie critics are unreliable. It is an understatement to say then those critics are nonsense, but are reliable in some ways.Of course i don’t believe anything i hear, but i take their opinions into consideration. The last thing i want is regret the money and time wasted on a movie( Think Chicken Little) i did not enjoy and want it to end quickly. Therefore i’m quite picky about the movies my friends about the movies we watch. Especially since i have many of them for free, If you know what i mean xD.

Eagle Eye is a action pack triller, which is engaging and exciting. But it is rather ironic considering the fact that i had my eyes close at different intervals of the movie. I guess i was too tired that day. But it was not a bad movie which is worth a shot. Alright that’s all see ya.

Sentosa!

A day i have been anticipating for the past week. Sentosa with poly classmates! Met Ashley at Pasir Ris Mrt at 10. Somethings never change. A leopard never changed its spots. Ash is no different. Thank you very much for coming late there goes our breakfast! I grabbed a bite from old chang ki and headed to the train to meet Joel at VIVOMART at 11. We went to buy some snacks and drinks, which we tot was sufficient, but it was not the case as we realised later. Met the rest of the class soon after, and we set off to Sentosa!

It was a scorching hot day, but it was good as it wasn’t raining like the past few days! Played some beach volleyball. And i can tell you we were RUBBISH. The ball never survived more than 3 hits most of the time. The heat from the sand is melting our feet and that didn’t help. We ended up settling for card games under the shades.

The most enjoyable part of the day has to be at the sea. First time in many years that i have been to the sea swimming. Inevitably tasted the salty water. Yuck. I went behind the camera with my phone for most of the shots below =) because someone forgot to bring camera battries!

Comex IT Show

Every picture tells a story. Part of it. I have been working at comex IT show at suntec from last Thurs to Sun. The job was introduced by Michael. Never been on a sales promoter type of job before so i wanted to take up the challenge. And bloody hell i’m so glad i went! thanx mike. Could have been more and should have been. Kind of ironic Sunday sell so little. got one customer at the last min. Went to take credit card. Forgot cannot get in to the exhibit after 9pm i tell him we still open shop till 10. Arghhh. Met some new friends there from NYP, TP and Lasalle Sia College Of The Arts. Especially from nyp u guys/gals so funnny sia xD. What i have been saying for the past 4 days, are still fresh in my head… "laptop or desktop", free gift today weekend offer upgrade ram on the spot wat type of payment mode sir now u buy i give u all this free. vincent(supervisor) got troublesome customer help me pls. LOol

Overall it was a great experience to get under my belt. Now i know how it feels to be a promotor instead of a shopper. The most rewarding part is we all get a 4gig IPOD NANO Free, excluding commission. I have a ipod now, but only 2gig and cant play video. Love the reaction on sunday night after we get our ipods, walk out to other booths and show off hahahahaha ! Went to makan Suntra as a group and had supper. Kinda glad it has ended, but a pity we nv took a group photo =x.

I should be on the lookout for another job. Prefer those few days job rather than 1 month those kind. Till then, looking forward to SENTOSA outing with TP C176 next week! i’m off.

A Long Week

It was a relief get the CMSK(so called english subject in TP)presentation done on thursday. Sure hope its worth it. Put in a reasonable amount of time and effort on this presentation.like preparing for the video, which includes about 2 hours of filming in the tennis court under the scorching heat! Also, going all the way to the supermarket to buy the sport drink. and powerpoint slides. During the whole presentation we have to promote a certain product to the class, and its our final presentation so it carries quite a high percentage of the marks. I think the video was amazing, judging by the laughters of my classmates who are the audience in the presentation. Things looks promising for a A grade for this subject. Thanks to elaine tham for the pictures .

Mark phillip is a kick ass teacher. 3 hours class become 30 mins. And u know the lab test. So slack, but i’m not complaining! SATURDAY OUTING

Me, Kenvin, Michael, Ashley and Yujian, are out at Plaza Singapura on saturday evening, to catch Jack neo’s Money not enough 2. What a way to celebrate national day! Though i find money not enough 1 average, number 2 sure is way better. Before the movie we were spoilt for choices at which place should we eat. in the end we settled on Ajisen. a japanese restaurant. It is my first time there, and my last. Not to say that the food isn’t good, but it does not justify the 16.40 pricetag. But its the same at all restaurants.Oh well, once in a while , there’s a first time for everything.

The movie was good, i’ll give it 4 stars for entertainment. I understand hokkien abit, so it helps make the movie more enjoyable! It was touching and i cried. tears from laughter at one scene, not tears of sadness, though the movie has its humorous and touching moments. Kinda sad to think that summer’s over. All the big movies have shown. Now the upcoming movies are all mediocre especially for a movie fanatic like me =(

The Dark Knight

Wednesday, 23rd of july, was a highly anticipated day. To catch the film of Batman:The Dark Knight. Wats with all the hype? About critics giving this movie 5 stars. Glad i had almost completed my mdbs project before catching the movie. Always good to watch a movie with a peace of mind. Met my secondary school friends at Century Square Tampines for the movie. Had chicken pepper rice for dinner. i drool when i think of it now. Expensive, but good!

Wasn’t a fan of Golden Village tampines as the seats are terrible. no leg space. Very unfriendly environment for someone with my height. and u have to push down ur seat and seat on it. i’m not fussy, but really, i would do anything to watch in other cinemas other than tampines GV! Joel was telling me how good the movie was, perhapes my expections went sky high, but the movie did meet my expecitations. The twist and turns, unexpected events. The plot is good. Also, brilliant acting by the late heath ledger, Pity he didn’t get to enjoy the fame he does for playing ‘The Joker’.

Friends of mine will know i am an avid Manchester United Football Club fan. It is a joy to see the rewards coming in having support the team whole heartedly over the course of 10 months. To celebrate my beloved team’s title win i wore the red of manchester, their jersey to school the following day. If man utd didn’t win the title, will i still wear the kit? You bet i won’t xD. Its the 2nd Premier League crown in 2 years. Amazing =D.

And not only that, Manchester United have done the DOUBLE! On 21st may, i watched the biggest football match of 2008. Uefa Champions League. Only the best clubs in the world will win them yearly. This year is United. It was sure a nerve wrecking experience. Sometimes i just bury my head in my hands. One mistake can cost the team the biggest trophy in Europe. Woke up at 2.30 to catch the match, and due to extra time and penalty shoot outs, the match ended only 3 hours later. I stayed on and watch the trophy presentation, and end up sleeping at 6am. 2 hours later its school time. But strangely it doesn’t as tiring as other days. Don’t get me wrong, sleeping for only 2 hours a day will guarantee a zombie feeling the following day. But i just think about man utd being European champions and i won’t get so sleepy. Though concentration in class is a different matter.

Ironman

The boys ( sec sch mates) and I went to catch Iron Man on friday night. It is our first movie at Gv max cinema located at Vivo City. And what a movie it was. Easily the best movie seen so far this year lol. It certainly was a well anticipated and eagerly awaited film. Isn’t this the same for all Marvel movies?

4 stars for this movie. It has some good humour and amazing special effects. =D. Some scenes will leave you grasping for air. I feel tempted to buy the DVD when its out.

I used to watch a little bit of the cartoon series when i was young. Boy, Robert Downey Jr really suits Tony Stark. The best part of the scene was him flying all the way from his house to Afghanistan to take on the rebels there. The only disappointment however, is the fight scene with Iron Monger. Should display more missiles and air blast from his weaponry arsenal. But entertaining nonetheless.

Kicking The Habbit

Last Thursday, 17th April, 2008 to be precise. I had my last hours of World of Warcraft. Unless you are a martian from Mars, you would know what that game is. It was a love affair that lasted about 18 months,dating back to nov 2006 when it all started. Benjamin Lee, my then classmate back in sec 4, was always talking about how he can’t wait for O levels to end and start playing wow. I was excited too, as, being a dota/warcraft 3 TFT maniac at the time. But i wasn’t too impressed with the way the game is when it was first released in 2004.

Fast forward 1 month later, and on the day after my science mcq, which i still fondly remembered, I went to East Point Simei Challenger and purchased the game. Strangely enough i was lagging behind in terms of character level among the wow gang of (Benjamin, Shujun, Jeremy and RIdzuan) because i was working part time too so i didn’t had the time to play as often as them.

Ok. What is the game like? i have to say its the best game i played in my whole life, but if you ask me to play it now, i’ll bite your hand off. The game is so addictive that it absorbs you totally, Day and night, light or shadows, i can be seen at my computer, staring hard at the animals or creeps, killing them and my eyes flashed with excitement when they’re fixed upon the experience bar. I was hooked since then. It was like a drug. I was ADDICTED. Most people are, few aren’t.

I work my way up to level 70, the maximum level cap since the launch of the expansion in 2007 Feb. From that level onwards its all about items and gear. Mind you, the fee to play wow is an expansive one. $24.95 per month in Singapore. Ok back that i find that it was expensive but worth it. About 85 cents a day for entertainment. Why not??? i joined a Singaporean/Malaysian guild and we played hard and see end game content. Only those dedicated and committed to get good items will see the most exciting part of the game. Progressing through different dungeons and meeting stronger and stronger bosses. My dream was to kill Illidan with my guild, the final boss of the game. Nope not so simple. Its not like you can level a character now to 70 and meet him now. You need to work your way towards level 70, which takes about a month or two, and another 3 months to get the items and gear required to face the final boss himself. Thats half the work done, you will need experience, acute timing, correct decision making and quick reaction and awareness to be considered valuable enough as a player to face Illidan.

So Somewhere in February 2008, after 6 months of hard work, my guild and I finally got him down. Despite repeated failures, pressure stress and many fruitless attempts, we pushed on. My guild = 40+ real people who are dedicated to the cause, who would sit through fruitful nights, sacrificing time and sleep to play this game. This is how big this game is. Believes it or not, but it was one of my biggest achievement in life. Even as i speak and tell you now, no offense. You will never understand and appreciate what it means to players in Wow.

About 100 days( yes 24 hours x 100) of gaming, i finally called it quits. Ok here’s another wall of text. World of warcraft is about pvping( Player vs Player) and Raiding( Form guilds, get members, kill miniboss, slowly gear up, kill harder bosses and etc). My passion lies in the latter. Which is raiding. To kill bosses, we are required to read up on the strategy before coming for the fight. Its not so easy like going inside the dungeon and blindly wack enemies like other games does. One small mistake and you can kill everyone. And when you kill everyone you have alot to answer for. You will waste people’s time as when we die, we have armor repairs to pay, and we have to run in ghost form to collect back our dead bodies. Once that is done we have to make sure everyone’s with full health and maximum buffs( buffs are , well buffs that increase your health, mana, spell damage, healing, mana regen etc). That takes time and time is tight as people i raid with are mostly working adults who need to work 8am next thing in the morning. Therefore there was pressure to peform and a huge sense of responsibility. People will know that for the past year, i’m usually at home at 7pm on most weekdays, to WOw. Because of raids the raid leader make it clear that everyone should be online at 7pm sharp so we can get a party( 25 men, yes 25 real people at home) to raid. Such commitment is needed to see bosses and content others will never get a glimpse of. Because of such a schedule, i’m hardly out at night. Sounds like no life eh?

When i finally said goodbye to all my friends i made in World of warcraft, it was a very sad and emotional day for me. I nearly shed a tear. Really. I’m not afraid to admit it. These are people who i had never seen or met before. Ok maybe i see them a little bit but that’s about it. But these are also people who are constantly there to help, make funny jokes, and have some fun time with. These are people who have been close to me for the past 6 months to even a year. By quitting its goodbye to everyone of them. I won’t get to play with them again or chat with them online. I was afraid i will regret the decision to stop this game. But i never looked back since.

Day 4

Day 4. Little did we expect it would be the mosting exciting day we had in Thailand. The plan for the day was to go to the Paintball area and have a game. But finding the location was tough. It was in a deserted area, or you could say, a military area. We 6 squeeze into a cab. If this was done in Singapore, you know what to expect. This is thailand! who cares. Makes the taxi fare cheaper too... Lol lol
   So bored we start taking pictures of the hotel.

   Killing time while the hotel staff are figuring out where is the Paintball place is located at.   Got it. Since the place is not any near BTS station, we got a cab.   6 People into a small taxi. Of course i'm in front. Most comfortable =D being tallest is goodOur destination. Our cab driver was a little dumb. He said he knew the location, end up we went in circles. Plus along the journey, he played some old day chinese karaoke Songs.... zzzzzzzz Nevertheless we got to our location after about an hour.

Action begins..   Thats me =D   Paint balls + contact with clothes at full force = these.   Lucky it didn't hit his balls.What an eye opener Paintball was. It was sure one hell of a experience. Its was all our first time. Even if it isn't, it was never close in terms of excitment and fun. We were given special uniforms and masks to prevent the paintballs from hitting us in the skin. It was painful alright. I had one at my butt.We were devided into 2 teams. 3v3. Upon being hit by a paintball we were disqualified. But not totally. We had like 5 rounds.It was a hot day, but extreaming rewarding. Real fun. lol. If i came to Thailand with my parents, surely we dont play these. I cannot stress enough that there is no better group than this. Up next was ChinaTown for dinner. SEAFOOD

We went to a have birdnest later. It was cheap, like 10 bucks, wasnt too bad, ain't as good as the real expensive one, but, it was not bad..

We then took a mini taxi home. 6 squeeze into one omg. Its a open air 2 seater, carried by a driver with a moto in front.

Day 3 wasn't the most exciting days, but definitely still fun and enjoyable. As usual, the day began with breakfast at our hotels. In the afternoon we were out in a shopping mall having Mac for lunch. The price is slightly the same , or maybe, just maybe cheaper than Singapore's mac. pity they didn't have McSpicy there, which is my favourite burger. Strange huh? O yeah one thing which surprises me is the size of, ... the upsize. 0_o In Thailand, you upsize, its extra large, if u compare to Singapore. Their fries is so big lah, and the drinks too. Now when you eat large fries is mac S'pore right, its only medium fries in thailand. lol We had dinner at the end of a day, at an open air open space hawker center. If i remembered correctly, i had chicken noddles. scooping the yummy looking noodles into my mouth, i was expecting a delicious taste. How wrong i was. The food there, so spicy. Like a burning sensation down my throat. The others felt the same also. But the food not bad la.

Observe closely. The food( L) have sauce on it. Whole sale dipped into a pot of spicy chili sauce.
